AirFi created a flexible digital cabin platform built around portable in-flight entertainment, onboard commerce, connectivity and passenger-owned devices. The system centers on the company’s Venus box and is designed to work across narrowbody, widebody, turboprop and regional aircraft without relying on traditional embedded hardware.
The products can operate independently or connect with third-party systems already in place. AirFi also integrates its Connected Crew retail tools, portable streaming IFE and low-Earth orbit connectivity through a window-fit antenna and AirFi LEO. According to the company, the portable hardware requires no aircraft-side wiring or Supplemental Type Certificate and can be configured for different airlines and cabin classes.
For airlines, the setup can shorten deployment, reduce dependence on fixed infrastructure and allow equipment to move between aircraft as schedules change. It also connects entertainment, retail and connectivity within one passenger-facing platform. The model reflects a broader shift toward lighter, adaptable cabin technology, while giving AirFi a larger role as an integrator across airline commerce and digital services.
