Spanish architectural firm Enproyecto Arquitecture was commissioned by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha to build the Pedro Almodovar monument. The structure is situated in the hometown of the famous filmmaker Calzada de Calatrava, in the heart of La Mancha, Spain.
The Pedro Almodovar monument links the prolific director’s birthplace through strong cultural and landscape references with his cinematographic work. The main idea of the project was to honor La Mancha as if it were a frame in one of Almodovar’s movies.
