This example of pasta box design hails from Russia and is a highly creative approach to a traditional packaging concept. A student project, the pasta boxes were designed by Nikita, a Moscow-based graphic designer who opted for cut out windows that accentuate the intricate shape of each type of pasta.
The pasta box design by Nikita features the cut out and a woman's face, with a cut out being left in the shape of a voluminous haircut. The front of the paper boxes feature almost no lettering, with only a cooking time estimate, volume of content and the name of the specific type of pasta. Additional information such as ingredient details and caloric data has been included on the side of each box.
