This Palermo bar is a quaint, intimate space that transitions fluidly between day and night. Designed by local integrated architecture and design firm DiDeA, Ai Giudici Bar features a variety of stunning materials that make each design feature come to life through the use of texture.
The project was based on the initial client request for a space that transitions easily between day and night with little work necessary. In order to differentiate between and contrast both functions of the space, DiDeA used light-colored wood for the cafeteria portion, while they opted for rust-colored iron in the lounge bar. Although tiny, the space is uses for the space are effectively communicated through subtle changes in design and separated using modular fixtures such as flower boxes and chairs.
