For many, a bookstore is a thing of the past -- but with designs like this optical illusion bookstore popping up around the world, perhaps that's not exactly the case at all. Companies and designers simply have to create different experiences in order to lure consumers in. This particular experience is an unexpected one that turns the store into a sophisticated funhouse.
Designed by XL-MUSE, the optical illusion bookstore can be found in Hangzhou, China. It was created to look huge and never-ending with repetitive shelving and lighting that stretches as far as the eye can see. The ceiling is covered in mirrors as well in order to accentuate the mammoth feel of the interior design. As though straight out of a sci-fi flick, the space is trippy.
