Aedas Completed the Design of the Yohoo Museum in Hangzhou

— January 12, 2025 — Art & Design
Architecture firm Aedas has completed the design of the Yohoo Museum which is located on an artificial island in Hangzhou, China. The shape of the building takes on the structure of an infinity loop and it is topped by an undulating roof. Other details include the two circular light wells that were designed with interlocking rings which represent the connection of heaven and earth, as explained by the studio.

The global design principal at Aedas explained to Ken Wai, "The glass panels resemble the form of jades, optimising a subtle balance of opacity and transparency between the exterior and interior and connecting between history and culture. Sunlight penetrates the interiors through the translucent glass panels, creating a bright, soft interplay of light and shadow indoors."
