Skateboarder Nyjah Huston has accomplished a lot at the young age of 25, holding 18 X-Games medals, six World Skateboarding Championship titles, and was on his way to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics before COVID-19 hit -- he recently launched the Nyjah Free 2 sneakers alongside Nike SB. The duo drop the second signature silhouette for the athlete with inspiration drawn from the Zoom Spiridon.
The Nyjah Free 2 sneakers are made with the rubber materials at the upper, which combats the usual suede construction. Throughout the design process, Huston explains that it was important that the shoes were made to be functional in different circumstances beyond performance. Style was an important component for fans who do not often skate, so there was a blend of focuses throughout the process.
