The development, which is set to be built on Hengqin Island in Zhuhai, China, is meant to become a cultural and creative incubator, with the hope that it will ultimately straddle the line between tourist destination and local landmark.

As far as its potential status as tourist destination is concerned, Novotown has a prime location. Hengqin Island is adjacent to and just minutes away from Macau, the wealthy autonomous territory off the southeast of mainland China. As such, Macau's residents and tourists themselves will easily be able to make short trips to Novotown for performances, dining, and more.

Novotown is designed with a flowing, modern form that is sure to make a favorite icon for Hengqin Island locals as well.
