The Atlanta-based restaurant chain Farm Burger, recently gave its fan-favorite No. 2 Vegan Burger an update with a refreshed recipe. However, the chain still only uses sustainably and ethically sourced local fare to craft its dishes.
The No. 2 Vegan Burger's update was crafted by Executive Chef Cameron Thompson and Co-founder Jason Mann. Now the plant-based burger patty is made from a combination of quinoa, black-eyed peas, roasted cremini mushrooms, sweet potatoes, kale, and a special blend of spices. For added flavor, the vegan patty is topped with a cucumber salad doused in a garlic-lemon tahini dressing. As Thompson explains, "The recipe change was made with our guests in mind. We spent several months developing, testing and refining our new vegan burger to create something our guests will love, featuring a balance of fresh new flavors."
