Located within the Crowne Plaza Hiroshima hotel, this wooden chapel by architectural firm Nikken Space Design is a breathtaking space featuring a hand-carved wooden dome covered in floral patterns. Titled 'the Power of Flower,' the space is a wedding chapel located within the hotel and will provide an idyllic and ornate environment for an intimate ceremony.
Nikken Space Design collaborated with a kimono designer in order to create the delicate pattern that was then carved into the overarching wooden panel, infusing the space with traditional Japanese imagery and solidifying the awe-inducing, romantic atmosphere.
The chapel itself is lit up with natural light through the wooden panel, which also allows for a view into the real green canopy surrounding the exterior of the building.
