Afternoon Light has revamped the ‘Navy Officer’ chair from Jasper Morrison’s portfolio of works for Emeco. The limited edition office chair was initially designed by Emeco for the US Navy and was redone in 2021 by British designer Jasper Morrison. The final collection from Morrison comprised a chair, armchair, and swivel chairs, The Afternoon Light version of the chair boasts a recycled aluminum base coated in forest green powder, with the cushions incorporating shades of green, black, and pink. It also uses fabrics sourced from Maharam and 100% post-consumer recycled fiber.
The product visuals, shot by Mary Manning, depict the chair in artist Marc Hundley’s Williamsburg, Brooklyn home. The Afternoon Light x Emeco ‘Navy Officer’ chair can be purchased on the brand’s website for $1,890 USD.
