The Herman Miller Eames Shell Chairs are Now 100% Recycled

The iconic Herman Miller Eames Shell Chairs have been given an eco-friendly overhaul to keep them relevant with today's consumer who is seeking out style, but also sustainability.

The chairs are now crafted using 100% post-industrial recycled plastic, which the brand reports will save almost 122-tones of plastic each year. This will thus lead to an annual reduction of 15% when it comes to carbon emissions. Priced starting at $275, the chairs come in a range of color options to choose from including retro to modern ones.

President Ben Watson spoke on the updated Herman Miller Eames Shell Chairs saying, "Herman Miller is honoring that design legacy with the introduction of an Eames Molded Plastic Chair made from 100% recycled plastic, and we will continue to challenge ourselves to pursue meaningful, responsible change."
