Mushiki Storage System is an innovative and aesthetically pleasing piece of contemporary design that derives its inspiration from Japanese steam vessels. The storage unit, designed by the brilliant Tomas Alonso, is made entirely of bamboo and has a very unique form.

The Mushiki Storage System is definitely a piece of furniture that any forward-looking, design-focused person would love to have in their home. What I particularly like about the table is the exposed and natural feeling of the wood. This is a brilliant creation and I hope to see more from Tomas Alonso.

Implications - Youth consumers have a strong attraction to new design forms in standard products. This attraction stems from the desire to see the future enacted. Companies should take this mindset into account when creating products and marketing initiatives geared toward this group, who, though still seeking function, enjoy products that help them boast their individuality.
