PKMN's latest project allowed the design firm to create a holiday home that incorporated movable walls. The apartment was specifically designed for a Spain-based couple who needed a place to entertain their large family.
The apartment has multiple movable walls that allow for an open-concept living room when the family is spending time together. The walls can also be moved to created secluded areas for private dining as well. Additionally, within each wall, a bed is contained. When it is time to sleep, the beds easily fold down and create private bedrooms, which can be used by guests or the homeowners.
The unique space-saving walls allow for this particular family to have the best of both worlds. The walls are simple to slide and they can even be moved by the strength of a child. Each wall is designed to glide across the floor as though it is floating.
