Modern Religious Art

The Wandering Mind of Jesus by Michael Jantzen is Uniquely Conceptual

Michael Jantzen is a Los Angeles-based architect known for his conceptual public outdoor sculptures, yet this modern religious art piece shows that his oeuvre is comprised of much more. Titled 'The Wandering Mind of Jesus,' it is a unique view of the divine figure. A statue of Jesus is intersected by a Hot Rod-like race track setup that would have children racing their toy cars on instantly.

Although many people will find the modern religious art piece disturbing for a number of reasons, what really makes it stand out is the fact that the top part of Jesus' head can be moved along the race track. This brings a whole new interpretation to the work of art.
