Design studio Caster Design released its latest capsule of lighting pieces entitled 'Middle Grey.' The term is often used in the world of art and photography, referring to the hue of gray that the naked eye can see sitting directly between black and white. The specific shade reflects exactly 18% of the light that it encounters and is the inspiration behind the Middle Grey collection. All of the illuminating pieces are constructed with only one material, and that is an extruded aluminum tube.
It only requires one process to create each product in the collection, which features a desk lamp, floor lamp, pendant and a wall sconce. Each one is cut by laser to create its form, followed by a coat of gray pant, and finished with an LED light and acrylic diffuser.
