From furniture to decor, 3D-printed objects are becoming more popular in the average home—and they will only continue to become more present with innovations like 3D Systems' Ice Breaker collection of metal utensils.
Now that 3D printing has proven it can really wow people with daring sculptural shapes and customization, it's being used to create some of the more mundane life essentials like flatware. Even though knives, forks and spoons may not be the most exciting objects on the planet, the Ice Breaker designs feature a unique faceted shape that makes them quite interesting.
Taking inspiration from the cracks and complex geometry that can be found in ice, the metal utensils have handles that are cracked and splintered. Most impressively, the inventive metal utensils were 3D-printed without any bonding agents.
