When it comes to Mediterranean hotels, it is always extremely important for the architectural arrangement and the interior design to produce a cheery, breezy and relaxing atmosphere. Barcelona-based firm Lagranja Design built on these universal conceptualizations in the overhaul of Terramar — a Mediterranean hotel in Sitges, Spain.
With an abundance of site-specific motifs like "ceramics, wicker, clay, macramé, terracotta" and more, the studio was able to give a traditional yet modern spin to the establishment. In addition, the interior boasts custom projects that infuse Hotel Terramar with an artistic personality — from the intricate marble-covered bar to the immersive fish installation art. The authenticity of the Mediterranean hotel is strengthened by the building's history, which dates back to the 1930s.
