NASA promotes mars exploration through vintage recruitment posters

NASA commissioned a series of posters for an exhibit at the Kennedy Space Center regarding the topic of Mars exploration.

The images take on an appearance that's inspired by vintage American army recruitment posters, with a NASA astronaut pointing with the words "WE NEED YOU" emblazoned beneath being one example. The purpose of the Mars exploration posters is to show what positions would need to be filled in order for human life to be successful on the planet in future times. Jobs the that retro posters promote are: surveyors to explore the moons of Mars, engineering technicians, spaceship builders, innovative farmers, explorers, teachers and night shift workers.

The posters work to generate excitement amongst the public regarding NASA's work and offer insight on the possibilities that life there would allow for.
