The Museum of Science, Boston Created Mission: Mars on Roblox

Sending scientists directly to Mars is the ultimate goal of exploring the planet and in the meantime, The Museum of Science, Boston is introducing Mission: Mars to Roblox so that students can virtually set foot on the Red Planet. This educational and immersive experience was developed in partnership with Filament Games and it challenges players to take part in the Engineering Design Process.

In the metaverse, players will be tasked with navigating the planet and completing missions with friends in order to survive. Students of all ages will be engaged as they get suited up, design and create vehicles, explore with a high-tech Mars Rover, collect samples of water ice and make heroic rescues. All the while, participants will get to earn experience points and rewards as they become familiar with the mysterious planet.
