Love and equality are themes that are explored time and time again by Björn Borg and this year for Pride Month, the Swedish sports fashion brand has launched a digital platform called 'Marriage Unblocked.'
In acknowledgment of the fact that marriage equality is still not recognized in many parts of the world, this digital platform makes it possible for anyone to propose, exchange vows and get married on blockchain. Whether one makes this commitment anonymously or publicly, the blockchain-based platform offers a way for data to be securely stored forever—without religious or state approval. Those who use Marriage Unblocked will even get a certificate of their digital marriage.
Björn Borg has proudly shared that Sybille and Alexandra from Switzerland are the first couple to use the platform, as they come from a country where same-sex marriages are not legally recognized.
