Seed-Inspired Pavilions

The Malaysia Pavilion at Expo Milan is Based on Sustainable Food

The Malaysia Pavilion at the Milan Expo 2015 is based on the theme of sustainable growth, which is what the entire gathering is about.

As such, the pavilion designed by Jijjas Kasturi Associates is inspired by planting, and looks like multiple seeds piled on top of one another. The seeds were done in a golden color to represent prosperity and development, which is hopefully what will happen after the Milan Expo 2015, as people come together to share their ideas. Other than providing a symbol for the expo, the large building also offers a number of services, including retail outlets for people to shop, and restaurants so visitors can have a bit to eat. Overall the structure is very impressive.
