Lily-Shaped Reusable Pavilions

Studio Saar Has Designed the Srivan Pavilion Presented Last Month

Architecture firm Studio Saar has created the Srivan pavilion, which is created in the shape of a lily and is a reusable structure. It was unveiled at Design Mumbai recently and created to conceal the breakout area for visitors at the trade show. Specifically, it is installed at the Jio World Garden at the core of Mumbai and the name stems from Hindu principals that describe it to be a "forest of prosperity".

The managing partner at Studio Saar, Ananya Singhal shares, "Srivan tells the story of craftsmanship, using simple, natural, reusable, and recyclable materials to create a pavilion that will provide shelter and delight Design Mumbai visitors during their visit to the fair. It represents the traditional holistic thinking that still informs sustainable architecture and design in India."
