Combined Concrete Cypress Homes

LP1 House is Surrounded by a Towering Cypress Forest

'LP1 House' is built in the middle of a natural cypress and pine forest, and the residence makes use of the natural surroundings in its material choices. The home's bones are made mostly of steel and concrete, but much of its facade and interior are clad in the same pine wood that inhabits the forest around it.

'Paz Arquitectura' is the architecture studio behind LP1 House, and the studio was careful to design the home such that it takes advantage of its beautiful environs as much as possible. The lot is on a steep hill, and the home is thus built on stilts in order to give the inhabitants tremendous vistas. There's still access to the forest through a lower level, though, allowing the owners' children to run and play in a private area of forest nearby.
