The Los Angeles Lakers Introduced New Nike Jerseys

The look of the Los Angeles Lakers received a new update following this year's NBA season, courtesy of sportswear label Nike. Nike is the basketball league's official outfitters and the new collaborative jerseys aim to merge the team's archival past with its present. To do so, the Swoosh brings back the Laker's signature vertical drop shadow detail. This visual effect nods to the team's Showtime era in the 1980s -- the new 2018-2019 iterations also receive updated numbers and a rounded crew neckline.

The 'Icon' jersey boasts a gold base with purple numeral details with white trimming details, the 'Statement' jersey has a purple base with gold numeral accents, black side stripes and white trimming as well. The 'Association' jersey is finished in white with purple numbers and gold trimming. The new jersey designs are available for purchase online at the Lakers' store, Nike and the NBA online store.
