The Lightform Lf1 Runs an Easy to User AR Projection System
Justin Lam — June 8, 2018 — Tech
Creating AR projections may seem like a highly skilled task, and it is, but the Lightform LF1 makes projected AR a breeze. The LF1 projector currently comes in a kit and is featured along with a compact wireless computer with a camera, the LF1 projector and software that runs on the laptop. The entire kit is purpose-built to work easily with one another and allows users of varying skill to complete a full AR projection.
The Lightform LFI serves as the core component to the system and works by sending a patter to the projector, capturing it all with a 4K camera and creating a depth estimate map. Once it has accomplished this and has auto-calibrated, users can easily use the software to lat intelligent effects over real-world objects as well as translate static scenes to moving active worlds.
