Designers take inspiration from every facet of the natural and artificial world and these Labo Lamps demonstrate Federico Sandri and Daniel Debiasi's interest in chemistry lab equipment. If you visually break down the various elements of these contemporary illuminators, you might start to see them as test tubes, flasks and bowls.
Something Design used high-quality borosilicate glass to manufacture these magnificent transparent light fixtures for Penta Light. They come in three possible tints to suit different interior spaces, but each one reveals some of the guts of the gadgets. The Labo Lamps are actually quite minimal and elegant, so all that you will really see are the slim lightbulbs and the fabric-wrapped cords that feed through the clear tubular stands. The compositional reaction is optically appealing.
