Design studio Space is around us takes on a new renovation project which results in the Kyano. This is an apartment unit on the 6th floor of a building first built in the 1960s. Nestled in Athens, Greece- specifically the Panrati neighborhood- the design project highlights a modern look with the color blue at the forefront of its charm.

The new update also features a balcony which forms a more modern urban living environment without disrupting the original structure of the building. It brings attention to the layout which was originally sectioned into smaller rooms for privacy -- this is common for the 60s. Now, the team rethinks the space to create a more cohesive flow with an open plan.
