Candid Ominous Photography

This New Series Offers a Look into the Lives of the Ku Klux Klan

Helping viewers take a closer look and realistically understand the daily lives and rituals of the Ku Klux Klan, photojournalist Anthony S. Karen takes us on a journey into the workings of the world's most famous society.

Having spent months researching and reaching out to Ku Klux Klan members, the dedicated photographer finally got an in when one of the KKK Tennessee leaders invited him to an event and then into his "realm" --aka home. After that doors opened and the photographer was able to talk and photograph members from Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Arkansas, Virginia, Carolina, Missouri and many more.

The candid series offers viewers an intimate look into the daily lives of the secretive Ku Klux Klan and their hidden world of rituals.
