This collection of kitchen containers by Bucharest-based multidisciplinary design collective Dragos Motica Studio creatively mimics the appearance of various mushroom species grown in the Romanian wild.
Created for design brand UBIKUBI, these kitchen containers are made from curved white porcelain material, meant to mimic the shape and overall feel of a mushroom's stem. The lids of each individual container have been constructed from cork to resemble a specific type of mushroom head. Minimally designed, each container's shape was specifically chosen to resemble a different particular species of edible wild mushroom.
Each container shape was also intended for a different storage purpose in the kitchen and the full collection of containers provides an elegant and minimal kitchen set inspired by natural organic growth.
