Kiosk Wants Buyers to Reexamine Art and Commerce in Society

Described as the anti-Amazon, Kiosk is a unique roving art and retail concept project that offers items that feature no brand names and are generally regional specialties that only locals would recognize. Founded by husband-wife duo Alisa Grifo and Marco ter Haar Romeny, Kiosk is just coming out of a three-year hiatus. The ultimate goal of the projects is to remind buyers that design is personal and the brand hopes to present "a very open and honest take on art and commerce.”

The current collection from Kiosk features items culled from a recent temporary stay in Italy. The collection includes a handful of one-of-a-kind items, including futuristic candlestick holders, a chestnut-specific paring knife, cylindrical sulfur sticks, and much more. All the items are priced from $6, ensuring almost everyone can own a truly unique item.
