'Kijiji Raps' Puts a Musical Spin on Online Classifieds

Kijiji, Canada's largest database of online classifieds has released eight 15 second spots on YouTube called 'Kijiji Raps.' The commercials also feature Canadian rappers who promote the web marketplace.

The short ads are musical in nature and are meant not only to promote the website but to also complement the content that is available on YouTube. Even within its fifteen second time frame, the rappers are also able to provide useful information that accurately describes the function of Kijiji. The ads are meant to be organic and genuine, which ultimately enhances a viewer's experience. Kijiji Raps are targeted at 18-34 year olds -- YouTube's primary users -- and are meant to resonate with younger viewers. The goal of the ads is to inspire viewers to take advantage of Kijiji, post new ads and respond to existing ones.
