UNOSTO's newest installation, called 'Jewelry City,' was on display at Designblok 2011 in Prague. UNOSTO is a group of talented Czech designers who aim to promote jewelry as a form of exhibition.
It is hard to imagine that jewelry, which most of us tend to think as fashion rather than art, can be translated into an entire art installation, but Jewelry City, which was designed by WeAreCreative in collaboration with Intebo, definitely proves that it can be. This innovative installation exhibits the designers' wares on a webby, wiry apparatus, which has flat surfaces where the specific jewelry pieces lay. Iguzzini Etna designed the lighting for the installation.
Jewelry City is the first of a series of jewelry exhibits by UNOSTO and was shown at the 'Superstudio Sporkovsky' palace in Prague.
