J+B Design and Cafe in Park Slope, Brooklyn, is currently serving up a cold brew concoction that could dethrone the pumpkin spice latte as the most sought-after coffee drink. Instead of squash, this drink uses a different type of fruit to add just the right amount of sweetness to delicious cold brew.
Banana Milk Coffee is a specialty drink served at J+B Design and Cafe. The drink consists of cold brew coffee mixed with milk, simple syrup and banana. The drink is prepared by first blending a very ripe banana with the milk and simple syrup until the fruit is all but dissolved in the mixture. The sweet liquid is then poured over a cup of New Orleans-style cold brew, which is prepared Japanese style.
While the idea of bananas mixed with coffee may sound unusual, the drink is sure to satisfy the appetite of those who like their iced coffee on the sweet side.
