The Hoverair Aqua Drone Redefines Water-Based Aerial Capture

— August 28, 2025 — Tech
The HoverAir Aqua drone redefines water-based aerial capture with a fully waterproof, self-flying design built for lakes, pools, and open water. Weighing under 249 grams, it can launch and land directly on the surface thanks to more than fifteen waterproofing innovations and neutral buoyancy. With IP67 protection, it withstands splashes and waves while delivering smooth 4K at 100fps video through a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor and a hydrophobic self-heating lens.

There is a level 7 wind resistance that ensures stability in challenging conditions, while AI-guided tracking provides effortless, hands-free filming. A wearable Lighthouse remote supports takeoff, landing, mode switching, and Virtual Tether recall when the drone drifts out of range.

The Aqua delivers up to 23 minutes of flight time, 128 GB of internal storage, and a Safe Snorkel mode that lets it hover above water or tilt the gimbal downward while floating. Its onboard 1.6-inch AMOLED display allows live preview and quick adjustments without needing a phone. Scheduled to ship in December 2025 following its crowdfunding debut, the HoverAir Aqua demonstrates how compact drones can combine durability, high-quality capture, and ease of use for aquatic environments.
