Natural Light-Based Buildings

Malik Architecture Designs the New House of Voids in Delhi

Indian architecture studio Malik Architecture designs the latest House of Voids which highlights a series of openings that is made to highlight natural light. It features a range of openings and a skylight that opens up between the varying floor levels.

Malik Architecture states, "The excisions are very deliberate; for example, the angular slice at the northwest corner, where the living room opens into the veranda deck, is made to maximize the experience of large trees within the plot and beyond [...] This same slice turns into a north light for the living room. The slices, voids, and excisions are the protagonists for the spatial and structural frameworks of the house – connecting people to light and the trees."
