Oliver Leech Architects Prioritizes Natural Light in New Project

Local design studio Oliver Leech Architects adds a new extension to a Victorian house in South London with the addition of a skylight right in the middle to overlook views of a wildflower meadow roof. The team worked on giving the home more character to also open up the interiors which were dark and disconnected before this. The house now has an expanded ground floor with a large skylight and window seat.
Oliver Leech, founder of the studio speaks about the design focus of the project to Dezeen, stating "Natural light is the most important theme and design tool that we think about when designing our houses as a studio. Here we used the light to draw you into the house through the darker hallway and towards a huge fixed skylight in the centre of the house.
