Hip Hop Museum Concepts

This Museum Will Focus on the Music Genre That Drives Pop Culture

The construction of Universal Hip Hope Museum is not yet underway, but the ideas and designs behind the concept continue to grow.

The Hip Hop Museum will be designed by architect Michael Ford, a professor who focuses on the intersection between hip hop culture and architecture. The museum's features and displays are still being decided and one of the options that the architect is looking to explore is a "mobile manifestation of the museum." This would come in the form of a large truck that can work as a pop-up extension of the museum that will travel from location to location.

Hip hop has driven pop culture -- especially in North America -- for a long time and it is unsurprising that the idea to make a space that outlines its history, influence, diversity and social impact will soon come to fruition.
