Elegant in its simplicity, but intricate in its composition, the Henri Stool by Alexandre Reignier is one of those small pieces that can really set of a room.
The French furniture designer employed a white lacquered base molded smoothly from a thin sheet of aluminum, topped with subtly curved bands of ash tree for a seat. Each bowed dowel has a softness that's translated through the bleached natural color of the wood, and the crescent form to which it has been cut. Creating an image of comfort, the perch sits atop its sturdy base which promises stability beneath the sitter.
One hundred of the Henri Stool by Alexandre Reignier have been manufactured, each signed by the artist. This piece is a magnificent movable that is also a decorative masterpiece.
