Groupon Launched Groupon Select to Offer Additional Discounts

Groupon created a membership program, named Groupon Select, which offers additional discounts. Rich Williams, the CEO of the company, spoke about the new program, “Groupon Select is the best way to experience Groupon today and discover even more value on local services, experiences, and goods. It accelerates the savings we’re known for and makes Groupon an even bigger part of members’ daily routines."

Through Groupon Select, members will be able to access an extra 25% discount for products listed as a local deal, as well as an additional 15% off Groupon Goods. The program also offers 10% off travel and live events. Groupon Select is available to all for a price of $4.99 each month, and during the August 7th launch date customers were able to receive 50% off one purchase.
