One of the biggest challenges that AR/VR developers face is simply a lack of content, but Google Poly hopes to remedy this as a free 3D object library for augmented reality and virtual reality applications.
Since both augmented and virtual reality are all about immersion, the smallest details can play a big part in making a simulated environment truly feel real. Since the process of modeling every minute detail can be a time-consuming one, this 3D object library should help developers create high-quality results, all the while saving time. Some of the objects that can be found on Google Poly include everything from musical instruments and anatomical figures to houses.
The objects that can be downloaded through Poly are compatible with Google’s ARCore and Apple’s ARKit.
