Fruit may become a whole lot safer to eat if Scott Amron's FruitWash Labels ever go from concept to reality. Amron designed the FruitWash Label as a way of making fruit easier to clean. The label is actually made from an organic fruit soap that dissolves when wet.

The FruitWash Labels would make fruit safer to eat by making it easier and cheaper to clean. The soap is designed to lift more than wax off fruit; it also cleans off microscopic bits of dirt and pesticide residue. A design such as this would be a great way for big fruit companies to tout their commitment to health and eco-friendliness without having to expand their operations to include more organic farming.
