Pink rosé wine has made a resurgence in popularity lately making this frozen slushy recipes a great way to beat the summer heat.

Food and Travel writer Krista Simmons from Mashable has shared this unique take on rosé wine that turns it into a refreshing frozen slushy cocktail. To get started, you'll need a bottle of your favorite rosé wine, some lime juice, a little bit of gin and dash or two of angostura bitters. Combine all the ingredients into an ice-filled shaker with some raspberry sorbet and fresh basil leafs.

Give it all a shake for about 30 seconds or so, strain the mixture into a mason jar and finally top the mixture off with a little bit of blood orange-flavored soda. Follow these steps and you'll be enjoying the perfect summer cocktail in no time.
