Bristol-based 'Fresh Range' is a new food delivery startup that differs from most others making noise today. Whereas popular services like Blue Apron are primarily concerned with providing consumers the necessities for preparing a meal, Fresh Range is looking to serve as a better alternative to the grocery store as a whole. The startup offers raw produce delivery with the promise of exceptional freshness far above what any supermarket or grocery store puts on their shelves.

According to a 2011 investigation, meat and produce can be months old by the time they make it to consumers. Fresh Range looks to significantly cut that time; when consumers make an order, the produce they select is still in the ground. The order goes directly to the farmers, who put the food aside when it's fully grown. Fresh Range then delivers the order, thus ensuring that the food is truly as fresh as it could possibly be.
