Flavio Salsano is a Dutch illustrator who uses simple shadows to create whimsical drawings. Salsano's art involves small shadows, like those cast by a wine opener or pair or scissors. Sometimes the objects casting the shadows are easy to identify, whereas other times they take a bit of sussing out which adds an extra layer to this shadow art. From there his imagination does the rest, with abstract shapes becoming goofy characters in silly situations.

Flavio Salsano art is inherently temporary. The illustrations omean nothing without the shadows that frame them and vice versa. The Dutch drawer documents all of his work on Instagram where he has a small following. Flavio Salsano focus on simplicity and silliness helps his shadow art stand out from the more serious pieces that usually dominate this scene.
