Waste-Reducing Beverage Programs

The Every Bottle Back Program Aims to Reduce Plastic Waste

Coca-Cola, Keurig Dr Pepper and PepsiCo are teaming up for a program called Every Bottle Back, which ultimately aims to reduce plastic waste. The main components of the program are based on reducing the use of new plastic in the United States, improving the sorting, processing and collection of single-use plastic bottles, as well as promoting recycling with public awareness and outreach initiatives.

The American Beverage Association-organized Every Bottle Back program also involves other partners like the World Wildlife Fund, The Recycling Partnership and Closed Loop Partners.

As of late 2020, consumers may start seeing messaging on products that reminds that PET bottles are 100% recyclable and they have the potential to be remade into entirely new bottles.
