EV Charging Station Partnerships

Volkswagen and BP Have Teamed Up for EV Charging in Europe

Volkswagen and BP have announced a new partnership to help expand EV charging in Europe over the course of the next two years. The partnership will see the companies rolling out 4,000 charging stations across the UK and Germany with a plan to launch additional stations that could amass to a total of 8,000 by 2024 in Europe. The charging stations will make use of battery-based technologies to allow for rapid rollout that doesn't require access to high-power grids.

The EV charging partnership between Volkswagen and BP will see drivers able to access 150kW of fast charge power, which is rated for up to 160-kilometers of range in just 10-minutes, depending on the vehicle model. Drivers will also be able to enjoy safe, well-lit stations as they power up their ride.
