EV Charging Station Expansions

Volta Will Install 1,000 DC Fast Charging Stations at 500 Walgreens

Volta has announced an expanded partnership with Walgreens to install 1,000 new DC Fast charging stations at 500 locations, which will help to bolster access for drivers by putting facilities in convenient locations.

The expanded partnership will see the stations installed with large-format digital screens that can double as an out-of-home advertising opportunity. This is presently being leverages by the Walgreens Advertising Group, while the additional stations themselves are expected to be popping up soon.

Founder and CEO of Volta Scott Mercer commented on the expanded partnership with Walgreens saying, "As we expand our DC Fast charging presence across the country, Walgreens is an ideal match for faster forms of Volta charging given the average time a Walgreens shopper typically spends in-store. Volta’s intelligent charging network is built around understanding and anticipating consumer behavior. The next phase of our work with Walgreens will provide people with a quick, convenient and meaningful charge that is tailored to their shopping experience while bringing us another step closer to a clean energy future.”
