EpigenCare is a personalized skincare platform that uses an at-home test to develop "epigenetic profiles and skincare recommendations for the consumer."
As part of Johnson & Johnson’s Digital QuickFire Challenge, EpigenCare was named one of the winners. EpigenCare's direct-to-consumer test kits are set to launch later in the year and will be useful for suggesting care solutions based on factors like aging, elasticity, moisture and pigmentation.
The non-invasive kit is designed to collect a consumer's DNA from the skin—rather than another source, such as saliva—and help to measure whether or not a skincare product is delivering the desired results. Users will be able to track their data using the platform, which is protected by a blockchain to preserve a customer's privacy.
