Emmanuelle Simon designed the Liberté Bakery in Paris. The founder of the Boulangeries Liberté Mickael Benichou gave the architecture studio free rein to create a unique atmosphere. Boasting 25 square meters, the space features warm woods and cream-colored walls.
The designers aimed to create a cozy and welcoming interior that would encourage visitors to sit inside. Using natural materials and colors, the round shapes of the furniture, and the subtle lighting all contribute to the bakery's homey feel. A series of arched coves are etched into the bakery's walls to invite visitors to take a seat on the custom solid wood stools. Four additional coves are located behind the main counter and display the bread selection, creating a design coherency throughout.
